Hey, where's Jerome Bettis from?

Go back in time and think about some Super Bowls. Trent Dilfer vs. Kerry Collins. Brad Johnson vs. Rich Gannon. Mark Rypien played in one of these things. Now here this: Sunday was the worst performance by a pair of a quarterbacks in Super Bowl history.

I really don't think the NHL needed a gambling scandal right now. Going to hurt those massive ratings they are doing on whatever channel the games are on now.

But they've got Sidney Crosby and that will make everything okay.

I watched the fourth quarter of that Kobe Bryant point fiasco. It was insanely entertaining.

Americans are dropping from the World Baseball Classic like it's being played in Fallujah. We're getting dangerously close to throwing Aaron Small out there game one.

More people should start talking about Roger Federer because the guy is on the way to becoming the greatest player in the history of professional tennis.

Tiger Woods is 2 for 2 but David Toms is going to win a major this year. I like him to surprise at Augusta.

For the World Cup fans out there, can the English shut the fuck up? God it's like they've won the thing without playing a game.

FIELD OF DREAMS is still a great movie. Watch it soon if you haven't seen it in awhile.

I've started watching some Arena Football League. I'm gonna stop.

At the Senior Skins Game recently, Jack Nicklaus and Hale Irwin were playing a hole for $120,000. ESPN announced %10 of that money goes to charity. You mean poor Jack Nicklaus could only win $108,000 on that hole? Fuck you!

Hires I like: Gary Kubiak, Rod Marinelli

Hires I don't: Bred Childress, Dick Jauron

Who cares: Sean Payton

Ridiculous: Eric Mangini

Stupid: Mike McCarthy

Charles Tillman's position coach is now a defensive coordinator. Dick Jauron hired him. That. IS. Comedy.

When's the draft?

It's official. Football withdraw has begun. Pro-bowl...schmo-bowl.

I am pretty sure that Jerome Bettis is from Sweden, if I am not mistaken. I don't recall hearing about his home town at all.

I remember there being a saturation of stories much too long ago in 1985 about our fav boys in blue. But those stories were much more colorful and interesting.
Not living in Chicago anymore I tend to hear a lot about how Bears fans should "get over" their glorious season in '85. Why? Because we were original and inventive and your team wasn't? Because we had players with spirit and personality and your team didn't? Because we had players that loved playing the game and your team didn't? I'll keep basking in the warm glow of my '85 Bears until the next team of Bears takes it all the way. No matter where I am, I will always be a Bears fan.
