OPEN DEBATE

Here is the question for today, kids...

WHO WILL AND SHOULD BE THE NUMBER TWO AND SLOT RECEIVERS FOR DA BEARS THIS YEAR? (those could be two separate questions)

Shoot, boys...

I think the number 2 receiver will be Bernard Berrian. I think it will be between him and Bradley, and while I think Bradley might have more potential, Berrian actually realized a lot of his potential late in the season last year. The big question with both of them, as well as Currie, who could be fighting for the slot position, is their durability.

(I would like everyone to notice I am not advocating Gage for anything.)

Fellas I must tell you that Bradley and Berrian will battle all year for the #2 spot, But Hester will take the slot. I know that the bears coaches will try make him a shut down corner however, his natural ability and great speed and agility will make him an extremley dangerous gimmick weapon in the slot and that can not be ignored. That man was created to score touchdowns. Any ways on the majority of the plays the third reciever will be a tight end. and to isolate either Berrien or Bradley to the slot would limit there playing time. and would be a huge mistake on the Bears part. So all in all there will be no solid #2 reciever just a very deep reviever core WHOOO AAAHH

What about Rashid Davis? Anybody think this guy shows up competing for slot time? I pick Bradley to win #2 and have a breakout year. The good news is that I think Berrian is good enough to be in that spot too so we actually have a little depth. The problem hasn't been the recievers as much as it has been the QB. That said, I better see a few less dropped balls this year. I am totally ready for football to be back already. Go Bears!
