Two quick notes:
Noah is still asking for your fantasy advice so see the post directly below.
Thanks to Rob for the information that NFL Network has changed the airing of the Bears/Cardinals game to Friday night at 11:00 ET. So you'll be able to see the game only a couple hours after its actually on...which is cool.
But why watch the game at all? I'll give you a bunch of reasons:
I DON'T THINK THE REX GROSSMAN THING IS OVER YET
Lovie Smith did a brilliant job dissolving any quarterback bombs but he won't be able to avoid an aerial assault from Chicago fans and media if Grossman takes a step back Friday night. They don't NEED to see Griese play well since he's done it in the NFL. A clunker from Sexy Rexy and the elephant in the corner will actually get larger.
THOMAS JONES IS GOING TO RUN THE SHIT OUT OF THE BALL
Don't think for a second that OKreu won't have that line blowing the Cards off the ball and making holes for TJ. The entire team wants him to win the job and a nice performance Friday night will assure that.
THE BEST SET OF RECEIVERS IN THE GAME
Without Vasher playing, it'll be interesting to see how Ricky Manning and Captain Falldown handle these two brilliant receivers. I've been waiting all camp for Tillman to lose his job to Manning...might it happen this week?
A SUSTAINED OFFENSIVE ATTACK WOULD BE NICE, WOULDN'T IT?
I'd like to see a couple drives...down the field...ending in points. This is the thing the Bears have been missing over the last decade. Get first downs, run the ball consistently, challenge defenses deep.
THE NOT-SO-BEST RECEIVERS IN THE GAME
Lovie is going with Moose and Bernie B at the starting wides. With all the starters in the game, how will the second spot fare? Will Rash Davis look solid in the slot? Is Bradley really back? Does Justin Gage have a role?
DANIEAL MANNING
Mike Brown won't be out there so it is time for Manning to fingerbang every Cardinal who approaches.
TACKLE
It was the main focus of practice this week. Let's see them grab some cloth and tear some fucking people apart.

#3 run the ball! said . . .agreed, grande roberto. i just watched the 85 (actually jan 86) superbowl for the thirtieth time and people forget that offense really stretched the field and kept the ball. that is what we're in desperate need of.

#5 The Duke said . . .LOL - 'Fingerbang every Cardinal who approaches' - that kind of rhetoric is why I frequent this blog. 'Captain Falldown' - I can use that too. At least we don't have to see Mike (a.k.a. The Biggest Friggin' Pussy Safety in the NFL) Green on the field this year. Chris (a.k.a. Why The Fuck was I on Steve Smith) Thomson, neither. This are things to be thankful for.
Da Bears 2 Da Bowl!

#6 jeff said . . .Jeff, if I could add one more reason to watch the game:
Reason #8: Watch #54(or anyone on the Bears D for that matter) welcome Matt "metro-sexual" Lienhart to the NFL.

#7 Max said . . .We're like a bunch of Chris Bermans...only funny. NEVER MENTION MIKE GREEN'S NAME AGAIN ON THIS SITE...thank you.

#8 Max said . . .Mike Green returned an interception for a touchdown for Seattle last game. Too bad it was off Sorgi and it was on a play Sorgi got hurt on. But other than that im sure it was a fine play.

#9 big rob said . . .Oh and we traded Lennie Friedman to the Browns for an unconditional draft pick in '07. I am not sure what this does for us, but i hope Friedman works out for the Browns cause their center position has taken some hits this preseason

#10 DTB said . . .I love your reason # 8 comment!! I don't think that Matt "Gaylord" Leinart will be on the field the same yime as Urlacher, but I can't wait to see him get KILLED by that nasty Bears D!! Even if it is the second string. Remember we do go to Arizona for a Monday night game in October.... Might have another chance to kill his ass..... GO BEARS!!

#11 Still haven't forgiven McCaskey for Wanney Era said . . .Deion Branch! Given permission to seek trade... Do you think Angelo would give up a 1 for this guy? The way our corps look right now, I'd give up a 1, 2 and a 3! And Mike Green, his problem wasn't coverage. His problem, the whole contact thing. I'm envisioning Mike Green gettin trucked by Ced at the goal-line in week 4.

#12 Reverenddave said . . .There is no such thing as an important preseason game -- unless you are the 5th string long snapper trying to get picked up by the Frankfort Galaxy. THAT guy needs to hit somebody tonight! When the Bears cut his ass, he can go back to selling shoes until the NFL Europe season starts...

#13 said . . .Interesting note: The Bears game on Sirius radio was almost impossible to find because it is being broadcast on ESPN Hispanic channel 181. That would explain why I couldnt here the Bears Radio Network broadcast of the Charger game last week.

Moose when thrown to on third down has made 45 straight first down receptions.
He has already made two tonight

#15 Dirty Sanchez said . . .Moose can stop celebrating like he just saved the fucking world after one pre season catch.

#16 jeff said . . .I can't let that one go. I don't mind the only 2-time pro bowl receiver on the team providing some ra-ra one bit; even if he had no idea he wouldn't do shit the rest of the game.
