We'll talk about it as the week goes on but this is a big win for the Bears.
3-0.
And we're rolling.

#5 Southside Julio said . . .Hey a win is a win. Cheer up Stephen and show some optimism (been cheering for the cubs and bears too long man)! At least we have a chance to move the ball when the defense comes up big (T-Harris=stud) unlike a few years ago when Shoop would call the absolute WORST POSSIBLE PLAY when we were trailing. We needed to overcome some adversity and we did, defense picked Rex up when he needed it and Rex (came back and showed some balls especially after that ohh lala pass at the begining of the 4th) and Co. overcame some actual pressure...in a place where Rex ripped out his knee and MN is one of the hardest venues to play in da NFL. I think it was a great win and we showed some character and can grow from it. BEAR DOWN BROTHERS!

#6 Noah said . . .I'm standing by Sean, Jeff, and the Duke--a win-is-a-win, it's on the road, andwe came through when it counted against a team with good defense. It's been a long time since we had a quarterback that 1) takes risks, 2) can launch the ball down the field, and 3) capitalizes when it counts for the win. Yeah, Grossi threw some very ugly interceptions and made some bad decisions, but he had Viking horns practically up his butt. I think the three things to take away from this game are: 1) It was a learning experience: We finally faced a quality team that illuminated some of our weaknesses (the o-line needs to better prepare for up-the-gut, in-your-face d-lines; our running game needs more practice; and WE NEED TO MAKE TACKLES!); 2) we know certain things about our play (we CAN throw the ball down the field and make the big plays; our defense can keep us in the game and put us back in when we need it); and 3) we know that Rex and the team, especially his recieving corp, have enought confidence in each other to WIN a game by striking under the 2-minute mark in the 4th quarter. One thing that I would like to see improved next week would be how close out the first half--we totally missed that field goal opportunity. I do NOT want to see that again.
3-0 Let's take it game by game on our way to Miami!

#7 fred said . . .I'm in the win is a win camp. We came back on the road in what was probably a rediculously loud dome. That's a big deal. Especially for Rex, who tore his knee up on that very field.
Also, heard afterward that that was Rex's first 4th quarter TD. That's big.
Brown and Urlacher were missing tackles, that will not be a regular occurance.

#9 max said . . .No worries yet, and also no overblown expectations. They looked good at times, bad at time, but the most important thing is that the players and coaches think they can go all the way.

#10 Nick said . . .Ok I also am pumped with this win. however 3 things to be wary of:
1) Tackling. Simply awful.
2) Pass defense. Shaky again. On the first fumle we recovered, it was after a 21 yard catch.
3) RUN GAME. It is still not there. I know TJ was gettin better as the game goes on . . . but still, 54 rushing yards??? It makes me a little nervous.Despite these, I am ready for Sunday night. Soldier Field is going to be rocking and this will be one of the biggest games all year for Da Bears. Bring on Seattle

#14 DaBearsFanInTN said . . .That game had no pace. The officials were wanting to be on camera on every play.
I'm still waiting for Rex to stop throwing bad interceptions. He is a couple lucky breaks away from being Cade McNown.
1. Boss Bailey returned one for a touchdown last week that got undone by a stupid penalty on them, albeit timely for us.
2. Sharper had the one in the first quarter that he should have caught and brought home.
He needs to stop chuckin' them up under pressure. It is giving me heart problems.
But as you say - a win is a win. They gutted it out and for all Rex did poorly - he stepped up when it counted.
Bears. 3-0

#15 Big Hit Buda said . . .Championship teams have to win the ugly ones too... as long as they win ugly and don't lose ugly. It was as miraculous as a man giving birth... With 2 interceptions (both horrible passes that shouldn't have been thrown), Rex Grossman still showed fight and the needed poise down the stretch. If he learns to take a sack or get out of the pocket and ground the ball when pressured, it would erase those unneeded turnovers.
Let's give it up to the guys on the other side of the ball. The Bear's defense is steadily proving that it is the force not to be f#@$ed with! The best defensive front and Linebacker corps in the NFL and a solid secondary that is becoming the best!
