56-54-3. Suckage continues with a 5-8 last week. I’m not even thinking this week. A couple notes before the picks:
Your own DISTRICT SELECTMAN will be writing a guest column on Sunday night as I'll be in a local Chicago dive taking in Manning vs. Brady. Give him a lot of shit.
And thanks to all for the Rexommendations. Malnati's and Ditka's are definitely two hits...with a full review of the pot roast nachos and various other joints on the way.

#9 jeff said . . .This game could be closer than we'd like. Points:
1. Miami has the 5th-ranked defense, should prove a decent challenge for our offense (tons better than the 49ers anyway)
2. Against Pittsburgh and New England, Miami kept the games disturbingly close until the 4th quarter (when they ultimately collapsed). That said, Miami did manage to lose to Houston, Buffalo and Green Bay, so who knows. But let's just not underestimate them. I think this will be closer than most people think, and Miami will bring an Arizona-esque "best game". The Bears need to respond better this time around.
My prediction: Bears win, 34-20. A convincing victory but not a ridiculous blowout like the niners game.

#12 Aaron said . . .Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. You can't win games if you keep throwing interceptions and fumbling the ball.
Rex looked almost as bad as he did against Arizona with one terrible pass after another. For the most part he had good pass protection, and the running game was decent -- so no excuses.
There is plenty of blame to go around, but I'm pinning primary responsibility on Rex for this one. He has a long way to go, and not much time to get his act together. A rough way to start a long road trip.
Time to Bear Down...

#13 nick said . . .I am dissapointed that Griese didn't get thrown in towards the end. I know you want to let the starter correct his mistakes, but Rex had shown that he was unable to do so. Against AZ-6 turnovers, against Miami-4 turnovers for Rex. Apparently he cannot play well in pressure situations. I would have liked to see how Brian handled the situatuion.

#18 Dave said . . .You bunch a two faced cowards. Last week Rex was the gratest. Now you want to hang him.
What the hell. I told you bastards they would lose. But I was more generous. I thought you would at least score 21. Guess not.
And DS, as long as you've been licking Jeffs anal, you psycho freak.

#19 Dave said . . .Boohoo hoo hoo. Wah wah wah.
Cry, cry, cry.
Boy I'll bet all you drunks are going to be cry in your beers tonight. The crime rate in Chi-town is going to spike up tonight. Fuckers will be burning shit.
But I don't know why. They're not that good. Like I told you dreamers in the past. They're extremely overrated, and they play a really pussy schedule.
But I can understand because you lost to a pussy team. And worst yet Joey Harrington. Damn.
So now that we all know they suck, 11-5 looks like a real possibility this year, and of coarse, a first defeat.
Sorry boys, Rex just isn't a prime time player and he'll choke more often then not.
Boo hoo hoo hoo.

#22 Justin said . . .Big Rob-At least its a cock, but Jeff said it was you who liked cock in the jaw, and he knows you.
Oh and your prediction about 50-3, was so fucking dead wrong you should turn in your membership to the gay Bear fan club.
Damn even someone with half ass football knowledge wouldn't say some dumb shit like that.
Now go home, boy!
November 6, 2006
#23 Rob said . . .Dave- your sugar daddy played worse than Grossman, and against an average Colts defense...4 interceptions and a passer rating of 34.0..pathetic...He looked like shit right from the get go...no superbowl for you guys this year I'm afraid..the Pats have now lost AT HOME to both Denver and Indy...translation = THEY ARE FUCKED HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
November 6, 2006
#24 Dave said . . .The Pats defense just looked OLD...Bruschi, Seau and Vrabel look like the geriatrics club out there...now Harrison is down...and you guys have no go to receiver to put away a game...I ain't saying the Bears are anything special, and I personally have no faith in Grossman but from all the shit I've seen you write you'd think the Pats were the best thing ever...not anymore...that was a couple years ago..they have lost too many key players from those SB runs they made..time to pass the torch to Manning..It's his year, no one will beat them....
November 6, 2006
#25 Justin said . . .They are old and probably a little wore out. Hell you would to if were on a streak of winning that they've e xperienced.
Three super bowl rings and a whole lotta wins make for long seasons.
I'm sorry you'll never know that since you sorry fuckers can't seem to get past the first round.
But I'll give you a pass. I know you're hurt and probably a little drunk.
When sober up and calm down then come back and have a rational conversation.
UNTIL THEN SHUT THE FUCK UP LOSERS.
November 6, 2006
#26 Dave said . . .Aww...Dave's hurt...his little Pats couldn't stand up to Indy..I can feel your anxiety and nervousness...you know the Pats aren't going anywhere and that hurts you oh so bad...it's so fun reading your pathetic attempts at rationalizing the loss...keep it up Dave...it makes me happy...At least the Bears don't make any excuses
November 6, 2006
Justin you retarded little turd. No excuses?? You must be blind. Thats all this site is dedicated to. Excuses.
Wimpering, crying, and excuse making.
Read every single post here boy, and that all you'll see.
A Pats fan on the other hand, knows that one lose don't make a season.
Hell 11-5 can win a SB
But reading what you guys writing makes me think you're ready to jump off a bridge.
Just read what your sugar daddy's DS, Jeff, and all the other so called Bear fans are saying.
You know if I were Urlacher I'd come out say you all were a bunch of thin skin half asses the way you talk about some players on the team.
A real team lives and dies with the players they have. Both fans and players.
So just remember this punk, your boy Lovie kept the players he has on that team. When you say they suck, you must mean Lovie sucks too.
