Ladies and gentlemen, we present the first winner of DaBearsBlog Guest Column Sweepstakes.
I recently had the opportunity to visit with Patriots QB Tom Brady, and I decided to take advantage of my opportunity to submit a guest column by asking him a few questions on behalf of the site before the Bears take on the sweatshirt and co. We conducted the interview in his home in New England. Here’s what went down:
DBB- Thanks for meeting with me Tom.
TB- Oh, the honor is all mine, believe me. I read Da Bears Blog all the time.
DBB- No shit?
TB- Yeah...it’s just about the only way to pass the time between visits from Bill.
DBB- You mean Bill Bellichick, your coach?
TB- Oh, yeah, he’s ok too. I’m talking about my other friend Bill. We’ll call him Bill Timmons. I don’t want anyone to know about our... friendship.
DBB- Ok, fair enough. But you really can’t have much time for friends when you have a girlfriend like Bridget Moynahan can you? I mean, I would cover that in lamp oil and... well, you know what I mean.
TB- Oh. Yeah. She’s... great. Real hot right? She’s a hot lady. I totally don’t not bone her. I swear.
DBB- So where does this “Bill Timmons fit into the picture if you’re so busy with Bridget?
TB- He’s more of a life coach than anything. He writes me columns...not columns, letters. And he tells me how great I am all the time.
DBB- So moving on to football, how do you like your chances against Chicago this week?
TB- Oh, you know, I think we have a pretty good shot. It’s always nice to be at home, ‘cause I can get back to open-mouthed kisses with Bill much more quickly.
DBB- What?
TB- What.
DBB- I’m not sure what you mean.
TB- I was just saying, we’re at home and I think we’re really rolling after that Green Bay game.
DBB- I don’t think that’s what I heard, but let’s keep going. Looks like your offense is getting a nice little break with Ricky Manning Jr. being suspended for the game. Do you think this will help you at all?
TB- I think what that guy did to the guy with the laptop was horrible. People who use laptops, writers especially, shouldn’t have to fear for their lives when they have to meet a deadline. What if he was a writer for a nationally adored website like ESPN’s Page 2? When I heard about that happening I had to call up Steve Belichick for some weed just so I could sleep through the night.
DBB- Right.
TB- Hey, can we finish this some other time? My ginger snaps should be just about ready, and Bill doesn’t like them crispy.

#3 Midway Monster said . . .BOO yeah -- uh, I mean, kick ass. I tried watching what Belichick has to say this week, but I fell asleep every time. To be fair, it could have been the oxycontin, but still.

#10 Noah said . . .Should I be more mad at Joe Buck or Alfonso Boone right now.
Buck needs to mention how Gould is perfect on the season a few more times...oh wait he can't now. He's probably distraught because he hasn't jinxed a no hitter in months.
Mother pussbucket.

#12 Pissed off said . . .Well well well, the Bears lose to the Pats in New England where they have a 2-3 record. Thats pathetic since we are supposed to be a so called "good team." I wouldnt go that far, a good team is the Chargers, or possibly the Cowboys, and I would also say Indy. The Bears, no, they have lost to the 1-6 Dolphins and the Pats, who are a good team but not at home (see record above). And what is Aikmans deal, why does he hate the Bears again?? I am too pissed to really express my feelings right now, I will have to write again on maybe tuesday when I dont feel like shoving my fist thru someones face. In closing I will say..."WHY THE FUCK DID THEY KICK THE FIELD GOAL INSTEAD OF GO FOR IT!" You all know what I'm talking about, maybe this team has just had a soft schedule and isnt that good, after all we beat the G-men and they clearly suck so no need to pat ourselves on the back for that. Do we even have a win we can hang our hat on, I dont know.

#13 jeff said . . .Almost forgot, Urlacher sure is good huh, he lets Tom Brady put a move on him..."Hey Brian I think you left your jock back there." Didnt I hear somewhere that he is the most overrated player in the NFL...hhhmmmm.

#14 nick said . . .you can pick on urlacher or vasher but i won't. the pats made more plays. we lost because our quarterback turns the ball over too much. he's an extreme liability now and i don't have the answer for how to proceed.

#15 nick said . . .Rex,
lets start with the positives... He checked down when he had to, threw the ball away when he nedded to and took a sack when he had to.
Now the negatives,
innacurate when we needed him, neurotic when we had to have him and "rookish" when he had to be a pro.Tonight boils down to Rex being, in essence, a rookie. Granted hes been in the league a few years, but he has not been in this situation before. Iv'e seen progression in Rex, Iv'e seen stumbles in him but i belive that he will be a great QB. He shows progress. And that is HUGE. So lets settle on the fact that we are a good team. We went 2-1 on the road in an extreamly hostile environment and came home at 66.6 percent. This game, while a statement, would have been huge is more fule to the fire. WE ARE THE BEARS...... Bring it.

Joe Buck is the biggest dumbest human on the planet.
is it just me or does his head need its own moon?November 27, 2006
Noah... I can see why he's a GA fan. There's a brother bonin' a hot Asian chick formerly of a sports oriented show.
