"I don't think they're the best corners I've played against or we've played against this year. By far, no," Burress told the Newark Star-Ledger. "Those guys make plays [on] the balls that are thrown straight to them, but they're not just covering guys straight up and just shutting them down. I haven't seen any of that. . . They're very beatable."
I pray that Manning lights Plaxico Burress up the first time a ball is thrown his way over the middle. Our CB's are going to have to step up.

#3 Midway Monster said . . .I've always said this year and last that you can pass on the Bears. They like to pride themselves on being able to rush just the front four and then have the other 7 back in pass coverage, I hate to say it but more and more I am seeing the front four not get enough pressure and if you give a decent QB time, no matter how many DBs there are, he will find someone. In that respect I somewhat agree with Plax. I think we need to be more agressive with the blitz on obvious passing situations. I think we are going to be in trouble if Urlacher doesnt play. It appears Berrian will be out but if we can get Bradley going in the slot, or out deep like we got him going in the lions game last year before he got hurt we will be in good shape. I would say though that the Giants DBs are more beatable than the Bears DBs so shutup Plax.

#4 Pat said . . .Manning will have to check off Urlacher on each and every play. That ought give the rush some time. Url needs to camp in Eli's head if Chicago in order to shut down the Giants O.
Numb up that big toe, Saddle up, and "go forth and cause havoc ". We'll need the D to do whats right in dogging, blitzing, and droping into coverage.
I cannot wait!

I can't sit still. I feel like somebody dumped a bucket of hot sauce in my pants.
I just hope the boys want it as much as we do.

If the Giants beat the Bears (not gonna happen), Mariotti will write "I told you so".
Either way, Mariotti will always be right.

#9 District Selectman said . . .I like the Robbie Gould prediction. He could very well be the difference maker?
One question is burning in my mind this week: Will we blitz? Will we bring pressure and leave the receivers one-on-one with our corners? I don't know how good the Giants are; I haven't seen much of them this year.
I have many other questions, but they're the same questions I always have: Ced or TJ? Can we get the TEs in early? To blitz or not to blitz?

#11 jeff said . . .I like the idea of L. Briggs on Shockey. I read somewhere that Shock-Tard is back and ready to go, but Briggs has the speed at OLB to match up with that spaz and I call I Briggs pick this weekend when Eli checks down too far to the TE. Pick to Click: L > Briggs...time to step out of the Urlacher Shadow on SNF, unfortunately he isn't signed long term and this could be a national audition!!??

#12 Still said . . .there's no way in hell ron rivera will isolate a linebacker on shockey. if lance briggs is taking him the first five yards, danieal manning and tj will pick him right up. i'm not a shockey fan but with no toomer, he's going to be the second look for eli all day long.

Da Bears play COVER 2. They don't straight up on anyone. See D-fense 101 in the 2006 playbook fo r many teams. Teams don't man up anymore. It doesn't pay.

#14 Still said . . .the bears actually should just line peanut on him and the minute the play starts, have nut pull out a six shooter and last boyscott him right there on the 31 yard line.
