#2 Onside Kicks said . . .Congratulations to the very talentled but still undiscovered Chicago Bears.
Has there ever been a top seed less talked about than these Bears?
On the NFL Network's game rundown they decided to give a brief box score of the Bears game today with no highlights or video of any kind, and then proceed to give the Detroit-Green Bay game a full recap. Go figure.
No way we should allow 31 points to Tampa. Secondary had their heads in their asses. Who the fuck is Tim Rattay? That was unexcusable.
Offense proved they could bail the defense out for a change. Grossman looked poised and in control. Des Clark is a monster. Davis finally got in on the act. Even Adrian Peterson did some damage. Offense looks to be cruising. Defense should do some extra reps in practice this week.
Oh well.
A win is a win.
Bears fucking own the top seed.
Hopefully the global warming will have died down by January so home field will actually mean something. Some snow would be nice.

#3 Midway Monster said . . .so we've got home field throughout...do we play the next two games tough and try to improve the team, or do we rest starters and back into the playoffs with a loss or two??

#5 paytonrules said . . .In the words of Borat...its Sexytime! As in Sexy Rexy is back, FOR GOOD THIS TIME! I'm glad we squeaked out a win, New Orleans lost so we should be considered the best team in the NFC, no more Dallas or N'alins talk. The defense has been sucky the past few weeks but as long as we can still win with a plethera of backups in so the starters get healthy for the playoffs, I'm cool with that.
I was disappionted that the Bears decided to go for overtime instead of trying to go for the win in regulation, I think that says a lot about Lovie's confidence in the offense and Rex. I'm sure if we would have drove down the field Gould would have missed the field goal in regulation anyway. Man he is streaky, and not doing so hot lately. Funny how all of these issues come up as the playoffs approach.

#6 Adam from Pittsburgh said . . .Good news - according to Dick Stockton this is the first time this has ever happened to the Bears! I think in '85 the Bears were a wild card team right?
Yet more proof Stockton is a fucking moron.

Fuck Jay Mariotti.
Are you going to admit that you made yet another mistake by declaring Rex Grossman's career dead?
Because it's your last chance before he owns the playoffs and make you look like a fool.
You're not?
Oh well.Fuck you.
I hope Woody Paige burns your house down.December 19, 2006
Here at DaBearsBlog, you are free to kill us or the Bears as you so wish. You are not free, however, to be an asshole. So if you spew racism or ill-meaning foul language (cursing about football is just fine) or anything of that ilk, your comments ain't gonna last long, jerk.
