Today is Rex Grossman. Be smart, play smart and guide your team to the biggest game in any of their lives.
Today is Brian Urlacher. You're one of the greatest players this organization has ever had. Give yourself a chance to play for what Singletary has, what Butkus never did.
Today is Olin Kreutz. You spurned more money from Miami to stay here. Now give yourself a chance to go down there and show them why.
Today is Thomas Jones. You may not be Sayers or Payton or even Neal Anderson but today you can forever install yourself into the history of the most storied sports franchise in the universe.
Today is Cedric Benson. This team will be on your back the next five years. Start today.
Today is for Robbie Gould, Brad Maynard, Devin Hester. Be special.
Today is for the fans of the Chicago Bears. We've waited nearly 20 years for the chance to play in the final game and today it happens. We've worn our loyalty like a pair of ripped jeans and this afternoon that loyalty is rewarded. Bear down, Chicago Bears. Win. Win and bask in the glory of our praise for the next two weeks. Win and every Grossman interception, Tank arrest...becomes a memory.
Win. Today. Just win.

So nervous...all week long, I've head Bear Down on a continous loop in my head, as well as the replay from the 85 NFC championship game--where Wilbur Marshall dashes through the snow for the game clinching TD...C'MON!!! SOMEBODY MAKE THAT HAPPEN TODAY!!! GO BEARS!!!

I ate a major big breakfast and the gaming TV area is all set up wth the bar and with chips & everything the doc says ya cant have. The buds will be arriving any time. What a day.
Like all of you I awoke and immediately put my Bear hat on, #51 Bear jersey, and put black under my eyes. I'll did the traditional up/down hit-its in the living room in order toplace the earth back into its geosynchronous orbit because my head is so big the planets orbit has a wobble.

#12 District Selectman said . . .Grossman 1-5 and 4 yrds . WOW.
Returners knee was down and he regripped the ball before it got knocked out. Just like the Seahawks in the SPRBWL, the Saints will have to play both the Bears and the refs to win this one.
But, you know what? They will.

#17 Hester 4 President said . . .I would agree with you. I thought those were both bad calls, but I'll take 'em.
I think Rex looks good. Moose had yet another drop, and TJ should have caught that one on the goal line.

#18 you watch said . . .Up 9-0 but I'm a little disappointed that we haven't been able punch one in the endzone yet.
January 21, 2007
#19 District Selectman said . . .The bears defense is ok, but their offense is horrible. They should have lost to the lowly Seahawks last week. They have been winning on luck the entire year. IE the Arizona game. The Saints will win this game.
January 21, 2007
#20 District Selectman said . . .TDs would be better, but the defense is airtight today. Even that first bomb was just a great catch in great coverage. Otherwise, we've shut them down. This is the kind of game that FGs could be good enough to win.

#96 Michelle said . . .For all of you 12 year old Saints/Seahawks superfans, who will love your teams while failing to realize that they lost or claim (my favorite) that "the Bears cheated", just give up. Stop trying to figure out the Bears. The defense is fantastic and the offense is unpredictable; we CAN AND WILL run it down your throats, AND we can stretch the field.
You will all have a chance next year. Brady ended the game with a pick and Drew Brees had turnovers yesterday. People forget that he had bad years at San Diego, a fantastic team this year with the greatest running back since Barry Sanders. The Saints are great and will be back but just admit that the better team won. Stop blaming the turf, the snow, the wind, the refs, the cheating, the fans, and Jodi Foster. You all need to understand that in the culture of Chicago Cubs/Bears fans that this happens to everyone else BUT us. We've had to suffer through seasons of Dave Wandstedt, Cade McNown, Curtis Enis, and Brett Favre beatings that we had to earn this. We worked for it. Our team did us proud. The Bears play the Colts next. We have the better record and will be heavy underdogs AGAIN. That's ok. It's been like that all year and we love it.
