Tickets Go On Sale Saturday

Wednesday, July 18, 2007 | Jeff

For those of us non-season ticket holders, Bears tickets go on sale Saturday. It is a slow period here as the Bears prepare for training camp, so this is basically all I have to report.

Here's the link from da site to access ticket ballyhoo.

Once again, Noah and I are planning to be in Chicago for the December 2nd game versus the Giants and will hopefully be hosting a Saturday night party at Rossi's on North State. We'd love for some of ya'll to be there.

BooYa you suck Stu Scott. Sorry the BooYa just made me think of how big of a d-bay Scott is. Jeff I would like to know your thoughts on this whole Vick thing. I think he should never play in the NFL again. And hopefully a lengthy prison sentence with assure me of that. Again I would love to go to that Bears game and be at the party. Maybe I can get an early Christmas bonus.....man I want to come but I just dont think I can make it.

My fiancee gave me a sealed envelope with $500 cash for my birthday to buy 2 tickets to a Bears game. She thought she could get on-line last April and just buy a couple.

Anyway, never been to a Bears game even though I was born in Chicago (btw, my grandfather was Halas' chemistry tutor at UI, which helped him stay on the football team).

Any tips would be greatly appreciated as to where to sit, etc...

..I guess you already are since she is your fiancee. Have you purchased her a Bears jersey to wear on your wedding night?

I bought my tickets last year from ticket master for the niners game. Yeah, 41 points at the half!

I plan on doing the same on Saturday for the Detroit game! It's not hard, just be online 20 mins before they go on sale. You may only purchase 4 tickets.

As always,

Bear down!

Megan brings up a very good point, and a key to marriage: When you did your blood test was her blood burnt orange and navy blue also?

Yeah, it must have been an odd tutoring session as my grandfather was the least athletic person I think I've ever known. His motto was:

why stand when you can sit
why sit when you can lay down

Anyway, any pointers as far as good seat sections, how difficult it will be to score tickets this saturday or should I wait and look at ebay or Craigslist.

thanks

i have wrestled extensively with posting my thoughts on the vick situation. my opinion has far more to do with dogs than football. if he's guilty of the accusations - especially the needless execution of hundreds of dogs - i think he should be banned from the game for the rest of his life. and any kid that wears his number, any fan who cheers his name...should be ashamed of themselves. but in duke lacrosse/don imus america, i'm not condemning the man until this case processes through the judicial system

I do not have any basis for it but in my humble opinion; I think we'll discover that many NFL players were associated with Vick during this dogfight thing.

Wow, I was just reading some Fox sports dribble...
"Grossman faces tremendous scrutiny as camp opens, and some suggest that Daunte Culpepper might be a solid fit in a backup role"
DC!?! Papa Bear, help us all!

Jeff - Agree on all points Re: Vick. We owe it to ourselves to wait for the judicial system to make it's determination...but while that's going on, I will still assume he's guilty as hell.

Midway - Nicely done...that was a great play and a beautiful block.

Megan - What are you doing reading Fox? Is there another "expert" site that knows less than Fox? I have absolutely no thoughts of the Bears signing another QB...let alone DC. I think Chris Leak has a better shot of throwing to B-Twice in a game than DC.

By the way...just bought a new jersey for this year...tough decision but I went with my man B-Twice, away jersey. Although I do need a new blue jersey, so maybe a Peanut jersey if we resign him....and of course I need one orange jersey for that one game a year....who looks best in orange? Vasher? Tommie? DH?

Dont buy into the Culpepper thing, there's no way the BT is interested, he's washed up and we paid Greise all that money.

Regarding Vick, I'm cool with Jeff letting this get thru the judicial system before he really reams him but convicted or not he's put himself in bad situations. Whether he participated or tortured these dogs (which I think he did and he should be shot) we dont yet know but he allowed it to happen on his property, dogs are buried there and lets not forget his "Ron Mexico" STD thing and the pot smelling bottle on the plane. This guy just doesnt get it, he's just like his brother, a thug. The apple doesnt fall far from the tree, I bet these guys' dad a piece of work.

Regarding tickets you can try stubhub.com thats where I got my tix..........and then sold them...DAMN IT!!

wow - I've never tried to get Bears tickets before but it looks like they all sold out within 10 minutes of going on sale. I guess all those comments about ticket brokers snatching them all up are true.

Any pointers from fellow Bears fans would be great.

Jeff -- how are you getting your tickets?

July 21, 2007

#19 jdawg said . . .

Well, I guess I get how the scam works. Ticket brokers buy all the tickets and you immediately see them on ebay and craig's list for at least double what they were bought for.

Any ticket-buying advice would be great. I'm only about 4.5 hours away from Chicago.
