Drunken Thoughts.

Monday, September 29, 2008 | Jeff

I'm not going to bother with the nonsense right now.

Alex Brown...

Matt Forte late....

Corey Graham in a big spot...

Lance Briggs all night...

Kyle Orton early...

I'll see you all tomorrow once I've watched the game again. We're alive and well and...

LEADING THE DIVISION.

Tough win vs a very good team. There is still a lot of room for improvement but the d staying tough when it counts put me right back in that post week 1 optimism. Life is good

A breakdown of the quarters played so far this season:

I'd say that we have played 12/16 maybe 13 or 14/16 winning quarters of football. Some of those quarters were Devin Hester style "ridiculous" and some were good enough and only a few or a couple were actually bad. Even with the good or bad ones, there were great play opportunities left on the field to narrow those gaps. This one was in our favor this time as in the narrowness of that goal line stand, or Olsens potential out of bounds touchdown. Things are looking great. Being 2-2 puts us under the radar when I think we know and have hoped that we were better than that, we like being under te radar. 4-0 would have teams gunning for us, put us in the media spot light etc...Maybe it would have our guys not at the correct amount of humility. All these things are important. I always preach swaggar, but it's a swagar that is not arrogance I'm looking for.

Pointed out in the last thread that Forte, gets that first down without thumping his chest is the shit, what a major contrast to Cedric and yes I'm sorry, even TJ wasn't that classy.

This team I truly believe has a lot more to show us. What if Hester starts to lock in on the receiver posistion while Lloyd is potentially healing up, what if KO and Booker can actually get on the same page more often, Booker is open quite a bit, but seems as though Kyle misses on those opportunities a lot, just like his not getting the ball to a receiver enabling them to get YAC. As they get more used to each other on these afore metioned things, the sky's the limit. There are other things too, but my concern as always (with Ron Turner) is that they will get pie in the sky head and think they don't need to make improvements, but that doing the same thing will keep working.

This is just a splooger!

Hey Animal, ever heard of "RECYCLE ALASKA"?

looking back at the box score shows that we had like only two categories that we beat them in: 1 penalty for 5 yards. 3rd down efficiency (barely) oh yea and the score! sounds like us in the previous two games, we hold out through out the season and we could see these guys again.

In the mean time today Aaron their heir Rodgers seemed to be a little hurt today, that's two in a row dropped for our Northern enimi, how sweet an NFL day was this?!?

On the other hand Faverah threw for 6 TD's what the hell?

This season is shaping up very interestingly (is that a word?) so far.
