Oh no, I haven't seen that Bears haiku stuff on here in a couple years. I was hoping it was dead. I am imagining it or wasn't there some guy on here a couple years ago who always wrote stuff like #3?

Actually, I could care less, as long as this game happens the way it should. Da Bears can become a legitimately good team today if they blow the Lions out. I'll even call them a contender. If they just eke out a win, then judgement is postponed, but if they blow this thing, they are all too close to being the Bears of 07. A team that can beat anyone and also be beaten by anyone. So to my Bears, I say so far you have beaten good teams and you have been beaten by good teams. This is the first shitty team you have seen all year. Don't lose to the shitty kitty, please!

Concerning the blog, we need a villain. I can't believe I'm saying this but to some degree I actually miss having someone like PIB, Dave, and almost even Mike. ALMOST Mike. These lame post under another name guys are no fun cause they just talk about dicks and aren't ever even funny. I never thought I would say this but the blog was actually a bit more engaging when there was a regular or two from the Dark Side lurking around.

enderwiggin -- thanks for the tip. They're not broadcasting the game in Louisville so I'll be listening to it via the internet on the official site.

I agree about the need for some new cranky blood. I guess PO's given up since Orton seems to be getting marginally better week-to-week.

Maybe we can start a flame war about the left tackle, now that Williams is back practicing at full speed.

Or how about the need for a new equipment manager? Anyone who thinks the current equipment manager is any good is a dumb fuck.

anyone?

I got nothing

I hope the Bears can put a smile to my face after watching the Cubs get swept. I haven't felt the need to puke my guts out as i did last night. It's going to be a long, cold winter for Cubs fans.

But enough about the Cubs, the Bears are tied for first place in the division and they're playing the Lions, it cant get any better, this is going to be a beetdown. It's time our defense lives up to the name "Monsters of the Midway", they just might get their chance to do so today.....

BEAR FUCKING DOWN!!!

#11 Joseph said . . .

Destroy the Lions...we are a playoff team!

Squeeze out a win...making the same dumb mistakes as usual and it's gonna be a long season!

Lose this game...and we are a pathetic excuse for a football franchise and should trade all the starters to the Bengals!

October 5, 2008

#12 HesterFan23 said . . .

Our defense really needs to step up. No Vasher or Harris, and the offense will be without Lloyd as we found out a few days ago.

October 5, 2008

#13 Worried said . . .

Man I wish I felt better about this game. It's eerily similar to the Cubs being "can't lose" favorites. I just think the kittens will come out storming and the Bears could have mentally chalked this in the win column. The type of game like the iggles almost always is followed by some slowdown. Hope it's a short and small one. KO - to keep proving yourself you have to play a bit better against these guys.

Somebody or everybody beat me up for feeling so stupid.

The offense is crap right now, they should be up by like 21 by now, what is this deflating good plays bad four plays shit.

October 5, 2008

#17 shonbear said . . .

Kos accuracy or lack thereof is lamo, Olsens wasted 52 yarg gain, wasted turnover oportunity, cant get a first on fourth and one inside the 20 whod they hand the ball to? They better get a fuckin td and stop messing aroud.

So, KO has ANOTHER great first half. Lets do it for four quarters now. Not too much to ask I hope.

October 5, 2008

#26 shonbear said . . .

the nfl needs to stop rodgering rogers, they provide a game update to show that the packers aaron made a great pass for a touchdown, but they dont provide any update when the falcons extend their lead by another 7 points on the back of turner burner...

Get off aarons dick already

The Bears really should be up by around 30 something, but ill take it, make some adjustments to increase this lead. we are going to likely have a tougher game against the falcons, stop turner and you win that game period. First we need like 3 or 4 more touchdowns in this game.

Bears win the challenge. I think it was a catch but thought there would not be enough evidence to overturn. Ref's making up for games 2 and 3???

If Clark doesn't stumble a bit that's a TD catch.

Forte TD...Niiiiice.

As a former KO doubter, Rex supporter, lulled by the big arm and moxie of the gunslinger, under appreciative of the steadiness of Kyle and the power of the neckbeard, I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE.
Kyle I love you. With all the gay talk on the blog, I will say that I want to caress your neckbeard. I have a new man-crush, and his name is KO.

Good thing we didn't get that fumble. It would have robbed Tillman of another notch on his belt for that trip to Hawaii.

Hey, didn't Roy Williams say he likes playing Charles Tillman?

Wow. This is everything we could have wished for so far.

Not me man, he is the one guy who could turn the ball over and over. thus ruining a good game for us. Either keep in KO or put in hanie just to let him get some exp.

#59 HesterFan23 said . . .

Great win us today.

The best part is that we did everything without Harris, Vasher and Lloyd. Those guys should all be back next week as well.

It was disappointing to see some misses early, but we did a great job throwing downfield to Olsen, Davis and Hester.

I wish we could have gotten the shutout, but we did a nice job nonetheless. Good pressure and good coverage on Johnson/Williams.

No letups next week in Atlanta please...

I didn't get to watch the game. Listened to most of it on the radio on my way home from Wisc. back to Chicagoland. Seemed like the Bears almost could have won by more if they had scored on some of those earlier possesions. Man, the Lions must really, really suck.

On to Atlanta...keep it rollin' fellas.

#65 Timmy said . . .

Yeah the bears have a stable QB who just played the LIOns, wooohoo..stupid bears fans, wait till KO plays against the Giants or Dallas, or hey better yet the REdskins, they need a true test of courage and KO needs to be challenged. Have fun Bears fan till KO gets hurt, and the real QB will shin, yupp thats rite, WRECKS!

October 5, 2008

#66 Shady said . . .

Two in a row!!

I guess that counts as an official winning streak, right? haha

Can you believe the Packers lost to the Falcons?? Ahhh... glorious!

The Bears are ON TOP of the division because of their strong defense and efficient offense. Kyle Orton has been doing the job and the Bears are 3-2 looking at 4-2. Obviously next week is going to be big. Bear down America!

October 5, 2008

#67 Bearman on the Sangamon said . . .

Fuck off and eat shit Timmy. Let us have our victory.

October 6, 2008

#68 Ronaldo said . . .

It's a beautiful Sunday! Da Bears stomped the Lions, the Fudgepackers lost, and we are in sole possession of first place in the NFC North. And the topper...I picked up KO to start today in my fantasy league. And Forte went all "Matt-a-tat-tat on dat ass" for the 6 pointer. Kid's solid. D dominated.

I like how RT is dusting off the playbook. Today was a nice confidence builder for KO.

Great all around effort. If anything, the special teams bought up the rear today.

Today was a great day to be a NFL fan, great games all around.

#69 Any QB playing against LIons would Shine! said . . .

WTF!! You call that a challenge? My glass of beer is still half full, im not sold on KO handling the load to win a game if called upon. Show me a worthy opponent next time and maybe, just maybe I will pledge my allegiance to KO. GREAT win for us though today. Any QB playing against the lions can have an excellent day, listen, why you think at the end REx was put in, he was only in there to hand off, they gave him only 2mins to play, why not give him the whole 4th quarter to play??? Yes thats rite because they didnt want him to excel and start making deep passes and looking good, he would make them look bad and of course embarrass good ol kyle. That was a big slap on REx's face from our coaches, he could have easily thrown a pass instead of a hand off on 3rd and 11, and gotten a first down, but no they told him to hand it off to garret wolf. Bunch of Bull shit propaganda on bears coaches!
