There will be no fight song today. No rah rah. No pep talk. Go out there and beat up a bad team. I'll be sitting at the Silver Bell Tavern in North Arlington, New Jersey - hoping for an easy afternoon. Give me a reason to be enthusiastic on Monday morning.

Bear down, there should be no need for additional motivation today. You have sucked. You now have a chance to rebound against the worst team in the league. Just go do your job. In my opinion by winning you will gain no more credibility, that must be accomplished on a another day, but losing would take away what shred you have left. Gentlemen it is very important that you do not suck today.

Well, if GB and the Queens lose too then we could still be a "First place team" . . . with a losing record. That'd be a feat we could all be proud of.

I personally will not vote for a player unless he deserves it. No one on this Bears team does. Earlier I would have voted for A. Brown, Tillman, and Briggs. Now, no one deserves it. Not Orton ( over who? Brees, McNabb, even Delhomme? Sorry no. Not Forte (over who? Turner, Peterson, Portis? No. Maybe I'll give one vote to Briggs, maybe, But only one, and not yet. More than 1 vote per player makes a mockery of the pro bowl and I won't do it. Neither should you.

let's can the pessimism for a while. Yes we aren't great. We are the 8-8 team Ive said we were all year. However, this is (barring catastrophe here) a win. If we beat Minny and GB in round two with both of them, we go to the playoffs.
Even with a schitzo team, 8-8 or whatever, anything can happen in the playoffs.
Let's try to enjoy this one.

Devin has now admittedly stated that he is thinking too much and since when in his two years of success did he ever try to run the width of the field to make a great run back, thats a college mistake, what the fuck man, now from his own mouth that he s\\is thinking too much, I am a genius!
Defense provides 5 turnovers and we cant score a touch down in the second half, im sorry, but Im happy for the win, but Ron Turner is pathetic and we all know that lovie and company are going to act like "this is just what we needed, we made some plays and came out with a win against a professional NFL team." fuck off lovie.
This should have been a forty something to nothing game at the least.
Im sorry animal, I just know whats coming from those fuckers, hope the pack loses tomorrow, but I cant see us beating the vikings right now, they have been surging with a winning streak, while we have onl scored in like three of our last 8 quarters of football played.
I'll get some optimism when and if we beat the vikings, but the offense right now is underachieving due to RT and his play calling, not due to Kyle and Forte.

Cause that's not what the pro bowl is about. Am I wrong? I've always thought it was about the best players in the league forming two teams and playing a game? Again, am I wrong? I understand why a fan would want to see more players from their team. But I for one, wouldn't care one iotta if I saw a few bears players there that I know didn't deserve it. It's meaningless otherwise. But, whatever. Interesting topic for debate I think.

#39 shonbear said . . .Didn't get to watch the game due to technical difficulties. Very eager to hear the raw analysis of some of our no BS fans here. Thrilled we won but sounds like the secondary was exposed a bit again. Sounds like the O-line did better in the running game.
Forte 132 yards 2 TD's Fuck yeah. That was his 1st Fumble of the year and I read that you couldn't even see him or when the ball came out on the replay. STUD!! Awesome Fort Matte Forte!
Also saw Orton only had 139 yards passing. Did we just not need to pass with the big lead and chew clock instead? He set the Bears all-time record with his 1st pass of the 2nd half with 175 straight passes with no INT's.
D had 5 sacks 4 INT's. Held them to 207 yards. I know it's the Rams but that has to be a pick me up for them just to taste what those things are like again.
If we can beat Minny it is a whole new season.

#40 AngryBearsFAn said . . .Z,
That is a major positive that i would gleen from this, the Defense may have gotten a taste in it's mouth for what it used to feel like to be great.
The offense on the other hand (other than Forte and Peterson) has a ways to go, they didn't do anything the second half, 18/29 , 133 yds. 3rd Down effinciency 4/12. Time of possession, we had the ball only 15 seconds longer than them.
The only ran the ball with Forte 20 times and AP 5 times, they averaged 6.3 yards per rush and 4.6 yards per pass.
Ron Turner is setting this offense up for failure, Kyle is still not healed, they should have pulled him in the second half or at least the 4th quarter, continue to let him heal for the most important game next week.
This is indeed setting up for a potential major heartbreak next week against a division opponent that has been getting better every week.
Again I re-iterate that the staff and Bears propaganda "machine" is going to tout this like "see, this is what I mean, we are good team etc...blah, blah blah". Sorry, but offensively we sucked in the second half man! We sucked because our OC is a pathatic excuse and now here we go again for the usual bullshit they are going to dribble out for the next week.
I'm not convinced! Had we at least scored one TD in the second half and then started pulling our starters to give younger guys some minutes and protect our QB, I'd understand, but that's not what happened. Sure some of the younger guys got some minutes, but that was because of injury. It's our starters that couldn't get a TD in the second half against maybe one of the sorriest teams we've seen since the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the 70's.
The way this team has let go of critical games this season is more than enough evidence to support my most down prognosis, YES i'm glad they won, more than you could possibly imagine, but NO I'm not convinced yet. Let's see what happens in Minnesota, let's see what shit comes out of their mouthes this week and I will post a comment of retraction of sorts to the bad attitude I'm currently displaying.

This guy is avg, even REx could have done what Kyle did or even maybe better. Orton started off good, but steadily declined, you can obviously see the pain he was in throwing off his left un-injured foot. His ankle is still hurting and everytime he plays on it each Sunday he's delaying the healing process. HIs cockiness not to let REx play is untold. He could have really sat out in the 3rd or even the 4th quarter and let REx play it out since we was winning by a large margin, but yet MR. Beard man wanted to play the whole game with that bad ankle. LIke I said he isnt going to get far this year in the playoffs before he sustains another blow to his body.

The D must play like they did today if we are going to win. Let's fuck Berrian up. I want Graham to start next week over Vasher, he has earned it and I don't give a shit how much money 31 is making. We can't make Puss Ferrotte look like Bart Starr again. All I'm asking for is 2 weeks of consistency. Why hasn't Babich tried to jam receivers at the line once this year?
